TO ORDER AGGREGATE SCREENS

- QUANTITY
--Number of Pieces or Rolls.
- WIDTH
-- Expressed in inches or fractions thereof. Width
should always be specified first.
- LENGTH
-- Finished overall length.
- OPENING
OR MESH :
-
Square Opening --Specify fractional or decimal space
required
- Slotted
Opening --Specify fractional or decimal space required
in both the width and length of opening.
- Note:
When ordering slotted openings specify which direction
long opening is parallel to.
- Mesh
-- Specify number of openings, counting from center
of any wire to a point one inch distant.
- WIRE
SIZE -- Expressed in decimals of an inch or W&M
Gauge Number.
- TYPE
OF MATERIAL -- Specify type of Wire Cloth: High Carbon
Spring Steel, Oil Tempered Spring Steel, Stainless
Steel, etc.
- PREFORMED
SCREENS FOR MOUNTING IN VIBRATING OR SIZING MACHINES
:In addition to the above, the following information
is required if the screen is preformed for mounting in
machines.

Machine Type -- Specify make of machine, serial
number, model number and size.

Type Hooks -- Specify type of hooked edges and also
metal composition if reinforced.

Finished Dimensions -- Specify dimensions from the
outside of one hook to the outside of opposite hook.
Also advise overall length.
- REPEAT
ORDERS -- When a previous order is to be duplicated,
please give the invoice number, P.O. number and date
of the original order.
- ROTARY
SCREENS (Trommel) : In addition to the above, the
following information is required if the screen is rolled:

Finished length of cylinder.
-
Finished outside or inside diameter of cloth and whether
a lap is required.

FOR ORDERING
FORMED EDGES HOOK TYPES
1. Specify
type of hook, plain or reinforced. (Hook
Types)
2. Give
accurate outside dimension. Measure from outside of one
hook to outside of opposite hook as illustrated below.

Specify angle and length of hook as shown

Be
sure to allow ample clearance for tensioning on vibrating
Screens
It is important that nose of Bar seats properly in hook
Proper
installation requires that vibrating screen sections of
heavy grade wire cloth must be kept under proper tension.
When installing a new screen, make sure that nose of tension
bar seats properly in hook. After machine has operated
for short period of time, re-tighten cloth.
NOTE:
The width of the screen is usually at right angles to
the Flow of material. The length parallels the flow of he
material.
